Dog Trainer Behaviorist
Having a special relationship with animals has always been a part of my life. They seem to trust and respect me as I do them. It is my mission to help dogs live a more balanced and happy life by improving their relationship and communication with the humans in their life.
Dogs give us a lot, their love, time, attention, loyalty, but often humans don't take the time to understand how to properly interact and communicate with them as dogs, (not humans), and cherished members of their pack.
My training centers around rehabilitating poor dog behavior that often stems from trauma or poor human interactions they have experienced, and helping their humans understand how to relate and communicate with them so they can enjoy their relationship in a supportive, loving pack.

A retired teacher and program coordinator, Janine first met Melissa as a client and quickly became a strong believer in her training methods. With a lifelong love of dogs and appreciation for Pack in Balance’s mission, Janine now supports the team as an administrative assistant.
